What Is To Come!

Hello loves!  I have missed you greatly! I have been a horrible, terrible slacker and I will in the coming days, weeks, and well, months remedy that!  I have reviews coming out my ears, considering we are in the sixth month of the year and I've not posted a single review for books that I've read this year.  Last year's well, those will eventually weave their way into the fabric of things, but now is the time to start with the reviews for 2016 (shut up, I know I'm running late on things...nothing new there!) .

Things have been rather busy for me as of late, I think I had enough down time in the month of May to do about ten things for myself.  However, this month is starting off a lot slower than May did, and I am thankful for that.  Just had company for the weekend and that was a blast as always! Now, it is time to get back to business!

I've lots of things coming, and I promise, I'll be good and not flood your inboxes overly much as I get things going and moving and ultimately ensure that things are caught up where they need to be!

Coming Attractions

1. Top Ten Tuesday
2. Wishlist Wednesday
3. What's On My Kindle
4. Reviews in abundance
5. Book of the Week
6. Book of the Month
7. Author of the Month
8. Surprises here and there

That's what I'm looking at currently, and will be spending some time today compiling various blog posts for the week and getting them scheduled.  So, check back often.  Subscribe.  Follow.  All that fun stuff.  <3

Review: The Weavemaker by Paul Wigmore

"Or what, you're gonna tickle me with your little tickle machine again? Oh please don't do that...it hurts my sides to laugh so much." -Saul, The Weavemaker

I recieved an ARC of "The Weavemaker" by Paul Wigmore, in exchange for an honest review.

I have been among those desperately awaiting this book, and when Paul started posting teasers on Facebook, I was more than completely hooked and anxiously awaiting the release of this book.  Or apparently an advanced reader copy, placed in my hot little hands! You can find links to pre-order "The Weavemaker", which releases THIS SATURDAY 10/31, and to purchase "The Tapestry" at the end of this post, and I HIGHLY recommend that you do get your hands on both of them!

I've diverged from my usual format of writing reviews, simply because I'm still struggling to find the words to express my love for this whirlwind nightmarish novel.  This book has provided me with the reasons I absolutely love reading the horror/thriller genre.  For those who have read Wigmore's first publication, "The Tapestry," you will not be disappointed with the return to this particular universe.  No, you won't be disappointed at all.

There are moments in this book that have had me laughing out loud, and many that have once more reminded me why I do not read this particular genre once the sun has gone down and the moon has risen into the sky.  Some books are best left for daylight reads only, and this definitely fits the bill.

This story takes place where "The Tapestry" left off, bringing us right back into the action as Saul attempts to heal himself and fully regain his power and ultimately take control of the between. This book, much like "The Tapestry," is not for the faint of heart or those who cannot handle a bit of gore in their horror stories.

I think one of my favorite relationships and interactions in this book is that of Seb, Sophia and Clara.  The three of them interacting together, as well as with the rest of the universe is something that I absolutely adore.  Sophia, Seb's daughter and his princess, is smart and absolutely spot on to help through the chaos that her world has become.

When Sprite comes into the picture, I can't help but laugh a bit at him and his interaction with Seb, Clara, and Sophia.  Sprite dresses as he's perceived, and is quite snarky but in a polite, matter of fact way at least in my opinion.

Saul...well, how do you describe Saul.  Pardon my language, but the best way to describe Saul is this. A twisted fuck.  Then again, what does one expect from a demon hell bent on controlling the between and getting a hold of the Tapestry?  Nothing short of absolute mass chaos and murder.  The things that Saul can make a person do...to want to do.  That he brings out in others will send chills down your spine.

Many of the fantasy novels I've read have used vastly different creation techniques, however, I have found my favorite creation device in Wigmore's stories.  The tapestry is a unique world creation device, and the fact that it allows for so much more to be added into the story is all the more a delightful device to use.  The way that the threads align to create each and every person, good or bad - the relationships that spark among the living threads of the tapestry.  It is enough to make one truly wonder if our world is a Tapestry.

Once again, I am left singing Paul Wigmore's praises.  He has crafted a novel that has floored me and once again left me thankful that Saul is safely contained within the pages of the novels and not roaming the real world.

Thank you again Paul for allowing me to be among the first to read this fantastic story and I very much look forward to reading more of your work.

Bibliophile's Wish List: Hardcover Beauties

This week's bibliophile's wish list is focusing on upcoming hardback books that will be published within the next one to four months. These are books that I've been desperately wanting, and will ultimately make their way onto my bookshelves...even if I have to put off eating for a couple of days to save up for them.  Seriously.

1.) Go Set A Watchman by Harper Lee

This book, I have always loved To Kill a
Mockingbird and to find out that Harper Lee was going to have another book coming out after that epic classic.  I seriously squeed like a good little fangirl.

I'd lost my copy of To Kill A Mockingbird so I am seriously in the market to replace it as soon as I can.  However, this precious little beauty right here, will ultimately either in hardback (I really hope) or paperback (I'll settle for this one too) will grace my shelves along with her first novel.

Publish date: July 14, 2015

2.) The Bourbon Kings by J.R. Ward

Okay, I absolutely LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the Black Dagger Brotherhood by J.R. Ward, and am officially caught up on that series...aside from I think one book.

This, however is a new series.  I've got almost all of the BDB on my Kindle.  This series, with that awesome cover...I want on my shelves. Seriously.  I know for a fact that this book will be filled with sexy men and deliciousness! I mean, what else is J.R. Ward known for?

Publish Date: July 28, 2015

3.) The Drafter by Kim Harrison

I have been a fan of Kim Harrison's for ages.  I've read most of the Rachel Morgan/Hollows series, and absolutely fell in love with it.  That particular series ran the gamut of emotions and many of them made me quite sad, and quite happy all at the same time.

This, however, is a whole new series.  Ultimately, I will be getting some delicious swag from Kim Harrison from this book - a mock up of Peri's phone, which of course will be it's own blog post! I am looking forward to reading and falling in love with Peri's story.

Publish date: September 1, 2015

4.) The Bazaar of Bad Dreams by Stephen King

OMG! OMG! OMG! Okay, those that know me, know that I love a story that will scare the absolute crap out of me! Stephen King is literally the top of my list of authors that I do not read after dark/before bed...and he's got a new anthology coming out?

Seriously! Gimme! Like now! I want this book like yesterday.  If I can get it in hardback, that would be deliciously wonderful! I want all of this, and I'm looking forwards to the spine-tingling terrors that fill it!

Publish Date: November 3, 2015

Something New at Confessions

As you all may or may not know, I've started a tumblr that is dedicated to well, the one thing I love most dearly on the planet...books.  Yes, I've joined booklr. Starting in July, I will be participating in one of the many Book Photo Challenges that are circulating around the community.  I have chosen one in particular, and I will be working on photos through out the month.  You'll be able to see them here, on my instagram, the Confessions of a Bibliophile Facebook page,  my twitter, and of course on my tumblr page.

I encourage you to follow me on these platforms, so that way you can get the book recommendations, and see all the pictures as soon as possible.

Here is the list that I will be using for this Book Photo Challenge, as taken from Just One More Page's tumblr:

I will be setting up a page on this blog's homesite, so you can easily find a direct link to each image daily.  Also, beginning in July, expect to see regular reviews from me again.  I've been out of the loop lately, so the first few might be a bit rusty, so just please be patient.  As always, my reviews are cross-posted here, tumblr, goodreads, amazon, and new this month, Audible.

I think that's about all the announcements I have for you today.  This month's book of the month went live earlier today, and this book has now become near and dear to my heart, because it will be one of the first audio book I do a review for, The Moon Dwellers by David Estes

Remember, keep reading!

What's On My Kindle? All the Feels Edition

Welcome to this week's edition of What's On My Kindle?  Where I showcase some of the books that I've got on my Kindle (most of which are on my ever growing TBR list and I proudly admit that I have one click problem).  Some of them I've read, and continue to re-read because they are some of my favorite novels, and written by my favorite authors.

If you can read any novel by John Green and not experience all the feels, then there has to be something wrong with you...just sayin'.  I mean seriously! A lot of his stuff, I need to read with an abundance of tissues, including the first book on my list...here we go!

1.)  The Fault in Our Stars

Also now a major motion picture! Which I've yet to see, however, I do follow John Green on both Twitter and Facebook and I saw awesome pictures from while they were filming and I want to see this.  I will have to check out redbox or see if it is on Netflix or Amazon for streaming...soon.

Seriously, this book is all about the feels.  It is not your average happy go lucky story - though there are very happy moments within the story itself.  It reminds us in a very human way about our mortality.  Everything will come to an end at some point - we all live for a finite amount of time, and ultimately we die.

Despite tumor-shrinking medical miracles, Hazel's story will be ending prematurely.  Her story's ending was written at the time of her diagnosis.  However, the time between now and that ultimate ending is going to be re-written when Augustus Waters shows up at a cancer kids support group.

Okay.

Okay.

2.) Paper Towns

Coming to theaters JULY 24, 2015!!!!! SQUEE!!!

Yes, another one of John Green's book is being made into a major motion picture.  This one is another one that hits you in the feels and constantly keeps you going from start to finish.

Quentin has always loved Margo Roth Spiegleman - from afar.  However, what happens when she comes into his room through his bedroom window in the middle of the night...dressed like a ninja?  She drags him on an all-night ingenious revenge plan.  However, Margo, always the enigma, becomes a complete and total mystery.

There are clues, left only for Quentin to find.  As he goes along the very disconnected path, he begins to discover that Margo Roth Spiegleman is not the girl he originally thought she was.

3.) Looking For Alaska

Yet another John Green novel that will be soon upon the big screen! SQUEE!! Is it 2016 YET? Pretty please? WANT NOW!!!

Miles "Pudge" Halter lives one perpetual nonevent.  He has an obssession with last words, and the "Great Perhaps," and ultimately goes to Culver Creek Boarding School...where his life stops being a nonevent.  Why?

The girl down the hall...Alaska Young.  Gorgeous, funny, clever, self-destructive Alaska. A girl who is an event unto herself.

Once he meets Alaska, Pudge's life is never the same.

Alright Nerdfighters...which of the two movies that are coming out are YOU most looking forward to seeing? For me, I want to see them both...but my heart is with Looking for Alaska because that is by far my favorite John Green novel (sorry TFiOS...I love you too....).

Excerpt:
“Ryder, I need to run upstairs really fast and use the little girls room.I will be back in two shakes of a monkey’s a**.” I move out of his hold onme physically and mentally. What is it about him? He said that there issomething about me that is captivating, what about him? There is nothingcaptivating about me. He is making things up. Either way, I am not going tofall for those games, never again. I am not going to be fooled again.   I do my business and wash my hands then head back out the door tohopefully save whatever this thing tonight was going to be. “You readynow?” Ryder says as I walk back down the stairs. I walk over to thepassenger side of the car and open the door. “Yep.” I pop the P and sit my ass down in the car.   Layla owns a brand spanking new Ford Mustang; electric blue with racingstrips down the middle and of course it is a drop top. The top is up thisafternoon because it is starting to get cold at night here.  “Are you gonna be like this all night? I’m sorry okay. I didn’t mean tobe mean and nasty like I was. But I wont apologize for throwing you over myshoulder because if it's necessary again I will do it again, and over myknee next time too.” He says while focusing on the road as we whip out ofthe truck stop and start down the road for the next little town where thereis an amazing dive bar.  “How do you know that I will even give you a chance after what you justpulled? That was some bull**** Ryder; some nasty f*** could have taken apicture to save in their spank bank for later. Ugh, I feel nasty now. Ifeel like one of those girls that wonders around the lot at night.” Ishudder again at the thought and I grab my hand sanitizer just for goodmeasure.   Ryder starts laughing so hard that I think he is going to crash the carand I grab a hold of the ‘oh shit’ handle. “You….you…oh…my…god…Babe! You’renothing close to a ‘lot lizard’. That’s some funny sh** right there. Spankbank, huh? Can I have some pictures of you for mine??” He gets the biggestand sexiest smile on his face that I have ever seen. He looks me right inthe eyes and all I can do is stare back at him. I have no idea how toanswer him so I just focus on the song that’s playing on the radio; it’sDef Leppard – Pour Some Sugar On Me. I reach over and turn it up a littlebit more and I can feel the bass pumping in the car and it makes me feellike it would be a good night to do some drinking and dancing. I need agood night out. “Do you know how to dance, Ryder?” I say to him willfocusing out the front window.  “You bet your sweet ass I know how to dance baby.” He says as he reachesover and runs his finger down my arm. I instantly get goose bumps.

Hello to New and Old Faces! Some Important Information Ahead

To all the new followers, thank you, thank you and thank you a hundred times over and I am quite pleased that you've found my slice of literary heaven.  Some things in the works, I will be revamping my review policy, as well as further detailing a few things to stream line the process.  I will be attempting to get back into posting a blog schedule, and now that I am once more the proud owner of a Kindle (THANK THE GODS) I will have lots more books to read and review (including some from the 1300 in the archives of my amazon account that I've not yet touched).

I will also be perhaps sharing with you some of my writing, though that might go to a separate blog in and of itself.  Beyond that, I've also got computer access again at home (for more than a handful of hours early in the morning on weekends) so I can post things more regularly.

Also, if you like my reviews, and the content that I provide, I would highly recommend sharing me with your friends, finding me on Goodreads and ultimately following my reviews and things here.  I do post my reviews on goodreads as well, and I will be once more refreshing my smashwords account and posting things there (mainly because I have books that I need to grab there and redownload on my Kindle).

If you are an author and following me here on my little piece of heaven, and would like me to review your book I am more than willing.  Digital copies are accepted (mobi/kindle format preferred above all others) and print copies as well.  If you send me a copy of your book (digitally or otherwise) allow me minimum of three (3) weeks to have time to read and formulate an opinion on your book to provide you with a proper review and not allow you to feel slighted.

I will in the coming weeks be catching up on my backlog of reviews (and trust me when I say that there is a backlog!).  Those ultimately come first, and then I will be moving on to some of the newer material that I have received.  But, worry not, I will not allow your book to be lost in the shuffle like some have in the past.  I do apologize if you happen to be one of those authors (it was so very not intentional).

Also, if you aren't an author, but you have an awesome book that you want to recommend to me, and it is available for lending via Kindle, you can of course always lend it to me and I will have it read and reviewed within the two (2) week grace period that is allowed for Kindle lending.

Any other comments, questions, or concerns, please do not hesitate to email me and let me know.  Also, if you are looking for Beta readers, decidedly more than willing!

Welcome to October!

As you can see, things have taken on the Halloween spirit around here. I love October, I love the fall and hopefully through the coming days I will be able to get more content to you.  I know I've a lot of things in the wings, and a lot of things planned.  I know you are all expecting a review for some of the books I've read recently, especially Falling Immortality by Robert Downs, but you'll have to wait until November 1st for that to happen because I've got the first day of that blog tour! There will be a review, an interview, and a guest post going up for that!

However, for October, I've got lots of things planned for all you wonderful kiddies out there! Some Bibliophile Eats will have some Halloween featured goodies, as well as the introduction of some of my fall favorites throughout the rest of the season.

Also, I plan on getting to some of those long awaited reviews (my pending review list just keeps growing and growing and I need to make a dent in it).  I've also got a new book on my shelves that I won from a giveaway over on Natasha McNeely's blog not too long ago.  I need to get to that (I've started reading my signed copy of Trinity by Clare Davidson), and I've also been re-reading Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West.  I also need to rewrite a couple of reviews and repost them to Goodreads because apparently I'm not allowed to use similar wording to other reviewers in my reviews without someone reporting them and having them removed.

I've also got another guest post to put up from Voluspa Co-Author Ray, and it's gonna be a fun one.  Beyond that, I've got a few reviews that I need to get finished and tossed up to the blog, so I will definitely be stepping things up here because I've been lazy lately.

Also, I've been working on a blog that focuses on my spiritual journey, and you can find it here: Sanctuary for My Soul and I'm working on that as I work on this.  Just starting it, so there is still a lot to work with.

That's just an update and some of the things you can look forward to in the coming days this month in October.

Sunday Morning

Good Morning everyone! *checks the clock* Yup, it is still morning.  I actually slept quite well last night, and tonight I'v gotta go to bed early because I have to work in the morning.  Bleh for that.  I'd rather stay here and work on my ever growing to be reviewed list.  My list is quite extensive as most of you know, I finished Dark Passage yesterday, but I've also still in the middle of reading The Forbidden Land, and I've not yet lemminged on Tigana by Gay Gavriel Kay, an extensive and epic read that I am doing for Sword and Laser for their group read this month.

The reviews I need to get done this week are:
     Gallies

  1. The Bastard by Brenda Novak (the title is Honor Bound for the published copy)
  2. One Moment by Kristina McBride
  3. Code Named Verity by Elizabeth Wein
  4. Scars by Cheryl Rainfield
    Author Read and Review

  1. Dark Passage by Griffin Hayes
  2. The Sky  Inside You by Marco Moreno Flores (need to read)
  3. Jaguar Sun by Martha Bourke (need to read)
    Need to Post to Smashwords
  1. Believe by E. Leighanne Grimm-Weever
  2. Reflection by Jessica Roberts
  3. A Story Not Wished to be Read by Nicola Black
Beyond that, everything is kinda up in the air with things here at Confessions of a Bibliophile.  I've got a couple of things brewing, and waiting on some questions back for an author interview series (that has kind of stalled).  I've got to also get together for another give away or two.  But, since my desktop has kind of finally decided to bite the big one for the most part, I've been working on my netbook which is much smaller and I can't do much on as I want to.  So, things are going to be slow, and I'm not sure where my external CD drive is so I can install my camera software for bibliophile eats...which saddens me.

Other than that, is there anything that you my dear readers would like to see from me? I've also been considering a video review of things, or just an update of my TBR list :) Awesomeness!

Cover Reveal: Determinant by A.M. Hargrove

Alright ladies and gentlemen.  You've seen my feature on the Guardians of Vesturon, well, there is a new book coming out in that series, book three! Determinant, and it will be coming out at the end of this month, June 30, 2012! YAY! So, onto the reason we are here...the revealing of the COVER of Determinant! YAY!

  • Series: Guardians of Vesturon
  • Genre: YA Paranormal Romance (with Sci-Fi Element)
  • Heat: HOT!

Isn't that an awesome cover?! I mean really?

Determinant blurb: January St. Davis, on her own since the age of sixteen and struggling to stay in college, thinks she’s scored in a major way when she lands a paid summer internship at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta.  One evening, after working an especially long shift, a chance encouter with a group of mysterious men alters the course of her life.

Rykerian Yarrister, a Guardian of Vesturon with unearthly powers and impossibly gorgeous looks, finds himself at odds over the human female he recently saved from certain death.  When it seems he is on the verge of winning her over, she is ripped from his hands by a strange and powerful being, threatening to destroy her if his demands are not met.

Do Rykerian and the Guardians have the ability to meet this fierce barbarian’s ultimatums, or will January suffer a horrid demise?

Excerpt of Determinant

I was lost in the events of the day and the amount of work I had and I was still nursing my wounded ego as I headed out of the lab.  As I made my way down the corridor, I noticed six men advancing toward me.
It wasn’t their actions I noticed so much or even the way they walked.  And though it was an oddity for them to even be here at all, it was their attire that captured my attention.  They were dressed identically, in an extreme fashion, much like members of a gang or secret society.  Large and muscular, they wore black vests and their bare arms were almost completely tattooed with tribal symbols of a sort.  Metal bands criss-crossed their chests and their legs were tightly encased in leather.  Knee high boots and black gloves finished off their ensembles.
As I neared them I felt my flesh tingle and the hairs on the back of my neck come to attention.  Gooseflesh erupted and alarms started clanging in my head.  I sucked in my breath and as I did, my eyes connected with the apparent leader.  I say this because he was in the front of the formation as they plodded along.
Time stood still as our eyes connected.  His were an uncanny shade, lavender with hints of indigo and specks of silver.  It was a hue I was unfamiliar with but they were intriguing and fascinating.  The alarms were still ringing in my ears and the air felt electrically charged around us.
“Halt!”
I turned into stone.  I couldn’t move a muscle.  He cocked his head as his eyes bore into mine.
“Breathe!”
I distinctly heard his command in my mind and I was helpless to disobey him.  I felt myself take a deep cleansing breath.  I questioned him with my eyes.  He flicked his head toward his men and they stepped back several feet.
“Who are you? Why are you here?”
I was confused by the demanding questions swirling in my brain but felt compelled to answer him.  I had never used mind reading to communicate, but I was sure he would hear my answer.
“I’m January St. Davis.  I’m here working on an internship for college credit.”
“You are human?” he asked with incredulity.
I wasn’t sure what he meant by that.  Why would he want to know if I was human?  What a ridiculous question!

ABOUT A.M. HARGROVE

One day, on her way home from work as a sales manager, A. M. Hargrove, realized her life was on fast forward and if she didn't do something soon, it would quickly be too late to write that work of fiction she had been dreaming of her whole life.  So, she rolled down the passenger window of her fabulous (not) company car and tossed out her leather briefcase.  Luckily, the pedestrian in the direct line of fire was a dodgeball pro and had über quick reflexes enabling him to avoid getting bashed in the head.  Feeling a tad guilty about the near miss, A. M. made a speedy turn down a deserted side street before tossing her crummy, outdated piece-of-you-know-what lap top out the window.   She breathed a liberating sigh of relief, picked up her cell phone and hit #4 on her speed dial.

A.M.’s Boss:  Hello.
A.M:  Hey Boss, I'm calling to let you know you can pick up my luxury Ford Focus at Starbucks near the interstate.
A.M.’s Boss:  Why ever would I want to do that?
A.M.:  Because I quit!
A.M. hit the end button and speed dialed her husband.

A.M.:  Hey hubs, can you pick me up at Starbucks?
A.M.’s Hubs:  Sure...having some car trouble?
A.M.:  Not at all.  I don't have a car to have trouble with because I just quit my job.
A.M.’s Hubs:  WHAT?!
A.M.:  It's time for a new career and I am going to be a very famous novelist.

So began A. M. Hargrove's career as a young adult paranormal romance author of self-published ebooks.  Her series, The Guardians of Vesturon, centers around a family of six siblings and is a mix of humor, mystery, suspense and of course, love.  Survival and Resurrection are her first and second full length novels, and Beginnings is her prequel novella to the series.  Determinant, her third in the series will be released 6/30/12.
(It didn’t really happen like that, but you get the idea!)

Good Evening...

Ugh! Today could have ended better for me..in so much that my desktop could be functioning (or at least clinging to its last traces of life) a lot better than it currently is.  Letting it cool and come down from its current tempertantruming over night and probably most of tomorrow while I am at work, and we shall see what happens then. But, it should NOT influence anything I've planned here.  Tomorrow shall be an epic day here at Confessions of a Bibliophile...why you ask? Well, let me tell you...

There is this EPICALLY AWESOME series written by A.M. Hargrove called The Guardians of Vesturion, and I've read all the books to date, and will be reviewing them tomorrow, as well as showcasing a couple of uber hot guys, that will make you think very, very indecent thoughts (if you are amongst my female followers, and probably make you jealous if you are amongst the male counter parts).  That segment is going to be titled "What does your Guardian look like..." and I took it off the A.M. Hargrove Fan Club page on Goodreads.com.  It is AWESOME, and the boys are delicious.

So, look for the reviews and special showcase to A.M. Hargrove's Guardians of Vesturion series...from prequel to book 2.  Speaking of A.M. Hargrove, there will be another EPICALLY awesome event concerning her coming up on the 23rd of June...so if you aren't paying attention you will miss it! Seriously!

Right now, I am working on my netbook, which doesn't have near everything I need on it, but it will still function and get everything on it that I will need to get things done.  The only thing I haven't installed on it is Adobe Digital Editions and Kindle for PC (and I might get around to it to finish Tigana and the galleies that I have to read)...though I'm still considering lemming it on Tigana (and we all know that isn't something that I do unless I absolutely cannot finish a book.  Tigana hasn't gotten that far for me yet).

What else is going on here? Oh! I won a free copy of Crimson Midnight by Amos Cassidy, and I will eventually get around to reading that.  I also have half a dozen other thing that I am needing to get around to reading...and I've also got reviews that I've done that I need to repost on Smashwords because stupid me forgot to post them over there and now Smashwords is pestering me about a review.  I also need to remember to format them properly so that they don't look disgusting when I post them.  Beyond that, I've still got a bunch of stuff to get done, that I've been horribly behind on (in case you haven't seen my reviews that need to be completed, and the more I read the longer the list gets...UGH!).

Galley Galore 3.0 will also be coming out this week, as will another small Author Read & Review corner.  The only other event that I've got coming up will be something involving Amos Cassidy, but that won't be until August.  Also, in August I will be able to post the epic awesomeness that is the review for one of the gallies that I've read.  I think I've also got one that I can post in July...I will have to check my calendar (which I need a new one of) and also double check publisher requirements on Netgalley.  I feel like I'm rambling, I really do, but this is stuff that I need to get out and need to ensure that I have all in one place...and it was also a vent concerning my computer being a party pooper and throwing a tempertantrum.  I really need a new computer and a new kindle damn it.  *sniffle*

Alright, I think I'm done with this update for the time being. I will possibly add more if I think of anything, but as of right now, I've been up since 3 am and it is closing in on my bedtime, and God knows that I need my beauty sleep.  Also, made some epic tastiness tonight, and you may just see it show up on the next bibliophile eats...unless I decide to do something else.

Lots of love,
Caedy :P

Of Thunderstorms and Computers

Between the thunderstorms and my computer being a pain.  I will be delaying the Galley Galore 2.0 blog post.  It will go up tomorrow with the blog post intended for tomorrow.  I do apologize, I at least got one of the reviews up, the others are still in the works, as it is a four book series.  I promise I will have it up tomorrow after work.

Lots of love,
Cae

Also, look for something EPICALLY awesome to be revealed HERE at Confessions of a Bibliophile on June 15th by 11am!

Saturday morning errands

Good morning to you! Today is proving to be somewhat productive despite being out of the house. Am at the doctor with my roommate's other half.
I have a couple of ideas for my CampNaNoWriMo novel titled "A Tinker's Tune" which is the first book in a series I have in the works, it is going to be called Songs of the Aether and will be epic steampunk!! Am hoping I can get it done and then comes editing and maybe self-publishing.
Later today there will be a few reviews and today's issue of Bibliophile Eats. I also need to announce the final winner of a copy of Angel Evolution by David Estes. So lots of good stuff for you today when I get home.
Signing off for now,
The Bibliophile

My New Home

Hello to all my wonderful readers.  As you can see, I've opted to move locations.  Wordpress was beginning to give me more trouble than I really wanted to deal with.  So, I've opted to switch to blogspot, which will allow me a bit more customization freedom and things of that nature.  I am still learning, I am still fighting with thing to get them just the way I want them and of course, you are more than welcome to follow me here as well.  I will not be using the old blog for reviews, though it will still be kept for archive purposes.  I will probably be using it for my writing from now on, and perhaps cross-post some things like daily updates and things of that nature...or I might just have it dedicated to my artwork.

So, as you can see, I am currently in the process of setting myself up here.  If anyone can recommend gadgets for me to add (how to find them easily would be helpful as well) and things of that nature I would GREATLY be in your debt.  I will also be working on getting things together for Confessions, such as more author interviews, and various other things.

Currently, I've got a giveaway that will be complete next weekend.  I am giving away five copies of Angel Evolution by David Estes as he is my first EVER author interview and his interview will be going live on Sunday!

Excited!

By the way, the first two winners of my give away are: Todd Howell and Kathryn Dawson.  YAYAYAY!  More winners will be coming next week!
