Review: Always Mine (St. Fleur #2) - AJ Renee

Title: Always Mine (St. Fleur #2)
Author: AJ Renee
Date(s) Read: March 26-28, 2017
Pages: 275
Format: Digital (Kindle)
Rating: 4.5

Review:

I was provided a copy of this book for review as a stop on the Blog Tour, in exchange for an honest review.  I would like to thank AJ Renee, the publisher, and Hea Book Tours for giving me the opportunity to read this book prior to its release on 3/29.

This book is the second book in the St. Fleur series and the second novel by author AJ Renee.  So far, she is two for two, when it comes to this series.  If she keeps going like this, this is easily going to become one of my favorite series, and with the number of books that I read, that is not a judgment that is passed lightly!  She is definitely one of those authors that I will always one-click to add their books to my kindle, and if I happen to have the extra money, own her books in print.

After reading her debut novel, Widower's Aura, I was definitely looking forward to the story of Linsey and Marc.  Their story is one that quickly became my favorite, the flashbacks that showed us how their attraction started and continue to grow - since Marc was best friends with Andrew, Lindsey's brother they grew up together.  However, it was the addition of the mystery and suspense that also drew me into the story.  Lindsey's stalker, and the clues and hints that are dropped so artfully throughout the story definitely help pull you in and make you want to finish it.

Oh, the chemistry between Marc and Lindsey is unmistakeable...however, I cannot count the number of times I wished I could grab them by the shoulders, shake them and yell..."USE YOUR WORDS!!!  TALK TO EACH OTHER!!" because it would no doubt make things so much easier at times. Despite their bumps in the road, I greatly enjoyed watching this couple grow, as well as the catch up with Sofia and Nick.

So, if you're looking for your next romance read with a bit of suspense and some great story telling, I definitely recommend you pick up Widower's Aura and Always Mine, plus any other books that are part of the St. Fleur series by AJ Renee.  You won't be disappointed and you might just find your next favorite read!

— EXCERPT
“Tu casa es mi casa,” he said with his most charming smile as he took in her short, beautiful legs.

Bending forward, she gave him the best view in the house, and he nearly swallowed his tongue. Her head turned enticingly toward him, her dark brown hair falling to the other side as she rolled her eyes at him.

“Um, isn’t the saying supposed to be ‘Mi casa es tu casa’?” She snickered and straightened as she turned away.

Reaching forward before his mind could stop him, Marc gently grabbed her wrist and gave her a tug. She fell into his lap with an “oof,” and she stared at him in panic. Marc pulled her incredibly soft legs over his own, so she sat sideways. With the new position, she placed her hand on his shoulder for purchase.

“Marc?” Her breathy voice shook with confusion and anticipation.

Hearing his name roll off her lips made his blood rush straight to his groin. Her eyes widened and darkened with desire at the change.

“Si, mi cielo?” Marc’s gaze moved down to her lips. Heat flooded his body, his heart took off, and he became mesmerized by the way she pulled in her lower lip and bit down hard. A groan escaped him, and he pulled the tender flesh out of her mouth with his thumb. Marc rubbed the rosy, soft skin.

When Marc leaned forward, Lindsey asked, “What are you doing?”

Examining her face, he noticed the soft blush across her fair skin. Her light brown eyes had flecks of yellow and green, something no one would notice unless they were as close or as focused as he was. The idea of anyone else being this close to her made him crazy. A faint scar an inch long marred the delicate skin under her left eye. Most wouldn’t notice that either, but he’d been there the night she got it. His thumb swiped at it as the memory of her bumping into him as a kid while they played Ghosts in the Graveyard came to mind. Her glasses had slammed into her face, creating a gash that had luckily not required stitches.

Marc’s lips came within a breath of hers. He searched her eyes for any signs of distress and found none. His lips grazed hers at the same time a door closed in the hall.

Review: Widower's Aura

Title: Widower's Aura

Summary:

Sofia Brazier escapes a career gone south as a juvenile probationary officer in New Orleans.  She moves from the large city to the small town of St. Fleur where she opens a photography business in an attempt to cleanse herself of the dark souls she'd tried to help.  All is going well, untill Noah enters the local pub.  Noah's wife died, and ultimately it is an act brought on by Noah's own daughter that brings their fates crashing together.

Review:

I was gifted an advanced copy of this novel in exchange for an honest review.  I would like to thank A.J. Renee, Love Between the Sheets Blog Tour, and the publisher for offering me this opportunity to participate in the blog tour as well as offer a review.

All the emotion.

All of it.

This book is so very well written and it takes a trope that is quite difficult to get right and gets it so very, very write.  A.J. Renee's debut novel is filled with a little bit of mystery to add to the romance that is building between Noah and Sofia.  Everything flows so naturally through out the story, and even those scenes that are of an explicit sexual nature are so very well written.

The small paranormal aspect to the book is one that absolutely sealed my adoration to this story a bit more.  I love that Sofia can see auras, and the fact that she can't see Noah's was enough to give her pause and ultimately pique a bit of her interest because....well that's something that's never actually happened before!

After I started the book (sometime after dinner and before bedtime on the 17th) I knew it was one that I'd have to put down before I went to bed or I'd ultimately end up finishing it in one setting and getting absolutely no sleep on a night where I had one of my longest shifts that week.  My better judgement finally won out and I ended up puttin the book down and picking it back up after work and various other household errands.  Only reason it took me about 2 days to read it is because I chose to defy the pull of this fantastic novel and delve into the real world when I really, really wanted to stay with Noah, Sofia and Lexi until the very last word was read.

This is definitely one that I will recommend to anyone that loves a fantastically written story, in-depth and relate-able characters and a little small town magic.

Widowers 1

Excerpt

Noah felt the hair on the back of his neck rise before he even saw her. Her skin shimmered with sweat. A bright blue tank top hugged her breasts, short black athletic shorts clung to her curves, and sneakers covered what he expected would be petite feet. The woman’s legs went on forever. He indulged in a brief fantasy of running his hands up those tan legs, hips, and up to her ample breasts. As his pants got tighter with a growing erection, he forced himself to turn and grab a drink of water.

For his sanity, Noah wanted to ignore her presence. Too bad he needed to speak to her. He couldn’t ignore what she was doing for Lexi. “Excuse me, Sofia?”

“Hello, Noah.” She smiled and continued to the bottom step of the house’s porch.

Noah walked toward her. “Can I talk to you?”

Her eyes locked on his with discomfort, “Yes?”

When they were a few feet apart, her smell hit him hard. Her sweat had yet to mask the sweet smell of peaches. She wasn’t covered in the strong perfume smell so many women seemed to bathe in. He noticed she wore no makeup either. The woman was truly stunning. He placed his hands in his pockets and rocked back on his heels.

“I wanted to thank you for what you’re doing for Lexi. You had every right to press charges, but I’m very grateful you didn’t. She’s a good kid…” He looked up at the second floor of his house, almost expecting to see Lexi standing at her window. “She’s just had a rough time, and I can’t snap her out it. I hope this close call does it.” He found himself wanting to tell Sofia more, but there was no point. Lexi would do her time with Sofia, and he would walk away with as little contact as possible.

Her head tilted to the side, Sofia’s knowing eyes pierced him. “Sounds like you both have been having a rough time.”

Her comment took him off guard. “Yes. No. Yes.” Noah struggled to breathe at the thought of how rough these last two years had been. When he looked at Sofia, he expected a confused look or even pity but not compassion. Yet her eyes sparkled when she gave him a small smile. Why did he always feel as if she was looking through him or reading his mind?

The Footsteps I Follow: Authors I Admire - Guest Post: Kristin Flynn

I love the imagery and emotion that Nicholas Sparks brings in his work. He holds his audience captive, and that is something that I am hoping to achieve. This can also be said for Alison Gaskin Bailey. S.C. Stephens can have you rooting for the bad boy and that has to be saying something. Kelly Elliot has the sweetest saga out there, I think. I can read a Michelle Valentine book in two days. Oh and Kristen Proby too. Tara Sivec has me spitting my coffee/wine out at the computer screen. She’s hilarious.

Review: Saving Georgia by Kristin Flynn

Title: Saving Georgia
Author: Kristin Flynn
Format: E-book (Kindle)
Date Read: November 10-11, 2013
Rating: 4/5
Recommend: Definitely

Summary: Senior year isn't supposed to suck, but the normal stresses of Senior year, for a girl who suffers mental and emotional issues the normal stresses are compounded and feel like torture. This is Georgia's life. Orphaned and tortured, she finally has found some peace and is thrown into a love triangle between a cowboy and the popular quarterback. Will Georgia be able to choose who she wishes to persue a relationship with or will she crumble under the pressure as prom and graduation lurk just around the corner.

Review:
I was given an ARC of this book by the Author in exchange for an honest review.

OH MY GOODNESS! I devoured this book in a matter of hours truth be told. I don't think I actually slept and just read it straight through in one sitting. It was that good. I was instantly sucked into the story spun by Kristin Flynn, and am desperately waiting for the next book in this series, which will no doubt have me just as sucked into Georgia's story.

The characters are absolutely fantastic, and even if I were a normal girl, trying to decide between the two guys vying for Georgia's attention would be a difficult decision! The characters are so well written and make me want to have them in my life. Seriously.

I do not have any complaints about this book at all, and I would greatly recommend this story to anyone who loves strongly created characters. We've all known someone like the mean girls in this story, the hot male best friend, the hot quarterback, and even the reformed mean girl.

Okay, I lied, I have one complaint...THAT CLIFF HANGER ENDING!! I want more damn it, seriously give me more. Next book please! I advise you to also check out the playlist that goes with this book, it's a really good one and definitely fits the story crafted by Kristin Flynn.

Can't wait for book two to get here.

Guest Post: Jason E. Maurer

For my guest post, I’ve chosen to discuss self-worth and homosexuality and how the two go hand-in-hand, mainly because that is what my new novel “Trust and Love” is all about.

The main theme of my novel is the “It Gets Better” Campaign because it is the struggle of nearly all people in the LGBT community [LGBT stands for Lesbian, Gay, and Transgender] to overcome their own fears, and stand up for themselves in a world that still thinks of us as being sinners.

The “It Gets Better” Campaign stems from the unfortunate suicidal deaths of several gay teenagers, who were bullied in school by youngsters like themselves who do not understand that we are just as human as everyone else. My heart has broken so many times over the past few years to hear of another loss of someone who gave up the fight.

I look back on my own high school turmoil, and am thankful that none of my suicide attempts succeeded.

I had few friends, although the ones in my close circle were treasured more than I could ever describe. Some of us are close to this day.

Being gay was not something anyone talked about, except to make fun of those unfortunate boys who showed any sign of being a “sissy”.  I grew up listening to the negativity spouted by others, and realized early on that I was not “normal”, that the things I felt for the guy who lived next door were wrong.

I wish more than anything that the “It Gets Better” Campaign had been around when I was a teenager. My life in school would have been much, much different. I might have had the courage to stand up for myself, instead of having everyone harass and make fun of me, saying I was worthless and nothing but trash.

This is why I stand so adamantly behind “It Gets Better”. I want that tormented young boy who is sitting there holding a bottle of pills to know he is not alone. I want that young girl who is holding a knife to her wrist that I understand what she’s going through. I want them to know that suicide is NOT the solution to their problems. I want them to understand that their lives WILL get better.

It took many years for me to realize that I wasn’t a freak, that the way I felt toward others of the same sex was okay, that I wasn’t some piece of trash to be so easily discarded.

If you are one of those teenagers who feel like your world is crumbling down around you because the bullies won’t leave you alone, then I have some advice. It may sound hopeless and almost like wishful thinking, especially if you are afraid of them, but things are never as hopeless as they seem. My advice is this:

1. Stand up for yourself.
2. Never back down.
3. Fight for what you believe.

If one of those bullies is attacking you and your beliefs, you have every right as a human being to protect yourself. Stand up tall, look your enemy in the eye, and defend, defend, defend.

Even if you lose the fight, remember that the pride of standing up for yourself and fighting for your beliefs is better than not doing anything at all.

I survived my high school years, and you will too.
And do you know why?
Because there are others in this world who love you for being who you are, and will stand by you no matter what.

My novel “Trust and Love” may seem more like a fairytale than real-life, but the message remains:
Do Not Give Up On Yourself, Because We Will Never Give Up On You.

By writing my novel, I hope to assist everyone in realizing that suicide is not the answer, that your life is more precious than you might think right now, and that we are here to support you no matter what.

Blog Tour Stop #1: Falling Immortality by Robert Downs - MANfiction Length - Guest Post

As a stop on the current Making Connections Blog Tour, I'm allowing Robert Downs to take over my blog with a guest post! I've also got a special one that will be going up the day before the blog tour starts, a special little treat for all you lovely people, and it fits perfectly with the blog tour starting up on the 1st of November.  Without further adieu, I turn this blog post over to Mr. Downs and his topic of choice, MANfiction Length.

When it comes to MANfiction, size really does matter. You don’t want a long-winded tale, filled with flowery descriptions and language, and a novel that feels like it will never end. Instead, what you want is a tale told in approximately 75,000 words or less, and that is filled with action,
concise dialogue told in the most efficient manner possible, and strong characters with even stronger motivation.

If you look at the pulp fiction stories of old, they followed this formula effectively, and they used it to their advantage with characters that practically erupted from the pages themselves. It’s important to feel these characters through action and violence, much more so than the words that
might erupt from their lips. Men are notorious for our short attention spans, and shorter novels will serve you well as you cater to the hard-boiled audiences of old. Shorter novels also allow the action scenes dispersed throughout the tale to stand out even louder and prouder.

If you follow this formula men will appreciate your conciseness, and many women will as well, as your books stand out on the shelves from the rest of the novels that in many cases will exceed the length of your tale. And when you work hard at some creative endeavor, isn’t that what you’re really looking for anyway? A way to stand out from the crowd and to be heard above the dull roar in the background. Your readers will thank you and so will the MANfiction
heavyweights of old: Mickey Spillane, Raymond Chandler, and Dashiell Hammett to name just a few. Let’s bring back the noir of old, since it was a perfect marketing concept executed fairly flawlessly when it was done correctly.

Robert Downs is the author of Falling Immortality: Casey Holden, Private Investigator. A sample
chapter of his MANfiction mystery debut, as well as other interesting information about the
author, or his main character, can be located at his website.

Blog Tour Stop #1: Falling Immortality by Robert Downs - Interview

Welcome to a very special edition of Into the Confessional, Robert Downs author of Falling Immortality has stepped into the confessional as part of his blog tour, hosted by Making Connections on Goodreads.  Enjoy your time on this first stop of the Falling Immortality Blog Tour.   Without further adieu, here is the transcript of Robert's visit to the confessional.

1. What made you want to become a writer?

Like many authors, I’ve always been a voracious reader. And once I realized being a garbage
man probably wasn’t the right career path for me, I set my aspirations in an entirely different
direction. As I grew older, I dabbled in song lyrics, or what I refer to as really bad poetry, but
I was testing out the writing waters, without really even knowing what I was doing. And after
watching Finding Forrester, I decided to become a little more ambitious with my water dabbling
by deciding to tackle a novel. I had to wrestle it to the ground like a bull, and it popped back up
with horns at the ready, as I waved my white flag. But several manuscripts stuffed in file drawers
later, here we are, and I can honestly say that I love it as much now as I did then. I just hope I’m
a bit smarter about the whole process.

2. From who or what do you get your inspiration and was there one individual that got you
started in writing?

It wasn’t a specific individual that kick started the writing gene (see my answer to question 1).
As far as where I get my inspiration, the short answer is everywhere. If I don’t get at least one
or two ideas a month, then it’s probably been a bad month. Will I use all my ideas? Probably
not. But it’s nice to know I have a wealth of ideas, and I can always seem to manufacture more.
Now, I know ideas don’t just explode in my head, but it sometimes feels like they do. Anything
can trigger an idea from reading to observing to two random thoughts popping together like
firecrackers to movies to a conversational phrase that won’t go away.

3. Every writer has their own unique process and each process has its own quirks. What are
some of yours if any?

I don’t know if I have specific quirks, but you’re right I do have an approach to my writing
process. It probably wouldn’t work for everybody, but it works just fine for me. When I write,
I pound the keys with as much force as I can possibly muster, and I keep going until I run out
of steam, or life gets in the way. When I was younger, I’d write for what felt like an entire
weekend. Even though I don’t write quite that much now, I still try to devote as much time to
the writing process as I can. Since I have a day job, I write during the evenings when I’m not
previously indisposed, or as much as I can on the weekends. Oh, I should probably add that I
have the same desk (slightly modified) and chair, since I was in the fourth or fifth grade. I don’t
consider it a quirk, but my wife probably would. And, yes, one day I do plan to upgrade my desk.

4. Where did your inspiration for Casey Holden come from? Someone you know personally?

Not really. He’s a rather unique individual, so I can’t say he grew out of one specific person. I
hadn’t read many hard-boiled or noir novels, so I had no idea how much I loved the genre. But
I do. I really, really do. The closest I probably came to hard-boiled was Robert B. Parker, and I
devoured his novels like a tray of cupcakes. I wanted a strong, unique voice, so naturally I came
up with the strongest male voice I could possibly muster. He’s me without the moral compass,
filter, and way too much money and time on his hands. These are all problems I don’t currently
have to worry about, so I have a lot of fun exploring the world through his eyes. As my dad
would say, he’s my alter-ego.

5. Do you have anything special in the works? If so when can we expect it to hit shelves?

Oh, I like to think all of novels are special, because let’s face it, if you’re going to devote several
years to the process from conception to manuscript completion to final product to marketing,
you’d better have a damn good reason for doing it. But I can tell you my publisher and I are
working on editing the second Casey Holden mystery titled Graceful Immortality, so we’re just
a bit beyond step 2 of my timeline. As for when it will be available to readers, your guess is as
good mine, since many aspects of publishing remind me of a weather forecaster trying to predict
the next rainstorm. But I hope we can have it available for purchase in a year and a half or so, if
not sooner.

6. If you had the chance to spend one month anywhere in the world, what one place would you
choose?

Well, Hawaii comes to mind. It’s been on my places to visit list for a while now, and I’ve never
been before. Short of being on the West Coast, the flight time is about as short as it will ever be
for me, since I live in New Mexico. In a few years, though, I’m liable to give you an entirely
different answer.

7. If you could visit any fictional world for one day where would you go?

Again, I’ll give you the first answer that comes to mind Sherlock Holmes. Sure, he’s not the
first detective to have ever walked the Earth, but he’s certainly one of the most famous and most
beloved. I’d love to see 221b Baker Street and London through his eyes. I know it could only
help my own writing.

8. If you had to choose four fictional characters to have a meal with who would they be and what
one question would you ask of each of them?

Four characters that come to mind are Jack Reacher, Elvis Cole, Archie McNally, and Sherlock
Holmes. Honestly, I’d probably sit around with my mouth open, and it’d take me fifteen or
twenty minutes to summon enough courage to ask them a question. I’d probably ask them about
their detective skills, since all four of them have a different approach and they each bring unique
capabilities to the table.

9. What are the top three books on your to read list right now?

The top three in my pile of books to read. Sorry, I don’t mean to be a smartass, but every book
on my shelf and in my Kindle is important to me; otherwise, why would I spend the money,
or more importantly, take time away from other activities to read? Now, that’s not to say I
don’t love reading, because I do, so I can’t even fathom a world without books. When I read, I
completely immerse myself in every book.

When I look at reading, just as I do with writing, I focus on what book I want to read, or write,
right now. So the short answer to your question is The Corpse Wore Pasties, Moneyshot, and
Capital. If you ask me in a few weeks, I’ll have an entirely different answer for you, since I’ll
have three completely different books at the top of my pile to read right now.

10. What one question would you ask to any historical figure if you had the chance?

The first historical figure that pops into my head is Martin Luther King, Jr. Since he was such a
great leader, I’d probably ask him what I could do to become a better leader.

11. One final question and this is actually for Mister Casey Holden, what is your ideal date that
does not include sex.

Here’s what he would say: Whatever the girl wants to do. Because when he takes a woman out,
it’s not about him: it’s about her. It doesn’t matter if it’s the movies, dinner, a picnic lunch, a
day at the beach, flying to Paris, driving toward the Appalachian Mountains, or walking through
MacArthur Center Mall, dating is about showing an interest in her and making her feel special.
So he would do whatever it takes to knock her out of her high heels, even if it’s just for a
moment. Because if he’s successful, he knows she’ll come back for more.

Blog Tour Stop #1: Falling Immortality by Robert Downs - Review

Title: Falling Immortality
Author: Robert Downs
Format: Paperback

Rating: 5/5

Summary: Casey Holden is a Heineken drinking, smart-assed, womanizing, viper driving ex-cop turned private investigator.  He isn't afraid to speak his mind and often gets into more trouble than he like, but he is good at what he does (and if not he has his trust fund to fall back on).  this time he was asked by a widow, Felicity Ferran, to investigate her husband's murder.  The case is 2-years old, cold and dead, and turn out to be much, much more than Casey bargained for.

Review:  I'd received this book from the Author to get the feel of his writing before creating interview questions for him.  This review is unbiased and honest, as are all my reviews.  Thank you Mr. Downs for the opportunity to get to know Casey Holden, and you a bit better.

This story is easily one of my favorites, and Casey Holden is definitely on my Top 10 favorite characters of all time.  He is a smart-ass and that is something that makes him all the more likeable to me (the fire engine red Dodge Viper doesn't hurt either).

The story flows well from start to finish, an has plenty of action to keep you occupied throughout the book.  Between the action there is sex, which is a very big part of Casey's life, but it isn't the focus of the book and the scenes are glossed over with only references left to them  and that is something that works perfectly well for this book.   Casey's mouth gets him in more trouble than he really wants, and though he tries to control it, it just usually has a mind of its own.

I honestly could not find anything that I did not like about this book and I will definitely be looking for more from Robert Downs in the future, especially if it is another Casey Holden, P.I. book.

Excerpt of Determinant

I was lost in the events of the day and the amount of work I had and I was still nursing my wounded ego as I headed out of the lab.  As I made my way down the corridor, I noticed six men advancing toward me.
It wasn’t their actions I noticed so much or even the way they walked.  And though it was an oddity for them to even be here at all, it was their attire that captured my attention.  They were dressed identically, in an extreme fashion, much like members of a gang or secret society.  Large and muscular, they wore black vests and their bare arms were almost completely tattooed with tribal symbols of a sort.  Metal bands criss-crossed their chests and their legs were tightly encased in leather.  Knee high boots and black gloves finished off their ensembles.
As I neared them I felt my flesh tingle and the hairs on the back of my neck come to attention.  Gooseflesh erupted and alarms started clanging in my head.  I sucked in my breath and as I did, my eyes connected with the apparent leader.  I say this because he was in the front of the formation as they plodded along.
Time stood still as our eyes connected.  His were an uncanny shade, lavender with hints of indigo and specks of silver.  It was a hue I was unfamiliar with but they were intriguing and fascinating.  The alarms were still ringing in my ears and the air felt electrically charged around us.
“Halt!”
I turned into stone.  I couldn’t move a muscle.  He cocked his head as his eyes bore into mine.
“Breathe!”
I distinctly heard his command in my mind and I was helpless to disobey him.  I felt myself take a deep cleansing breath.  I questioned him with my eyes.  He flicked his head toward his men and they stepped back several feet.
“Who are you? Why are you here?”
I was confused by the demanding questions swirling in my brain but felt compelled to answer him.  I had never used mind reading to communicate, but I was sure he would hear my answer.
“I’m January St. Davis.  I’m here working on an internship for college credit.”
“You are human?” he asked with incredulity.
I wasn’t sure what he meant by that.  Why would he want to know if I was human?  What a ridiculous question!

ABOUT A.M. HARGROVE

One day, on her way home from work as a sales manager, A. M. Hargrove, realized her life was on fast forward and if she didn't do something soon, it would quickly be too late to write that work of fiction she had been dreaming of her whole life.  So, she rolled down the passenger window of her fabulous (not) company car and tossed out her leather briefcase.  Luckily, the pedestrian in the direct line of fire was a dodgeball pro and had über quick reflexes enabling him to avoid getting bashed in the head.  Feeling a tad guilty about the near miss, A. M. made a speedy turn down a deserted side street before tossing her crummy, outdated piece-of-you-know-what lap top out the window.   She breathed a liberating sigh of relief, picked up her cell phone and hit #4 on her speed dial.

A.M.’s Boss:  Hello.
A.M:  Hey Boss, I'm calling to let you know you can pick up my luxury Ford Focus at Starbucks near the interstate.
A.M.’s Boss:  Why ever would I want to do that?
A.M.:  Because I quit!
A.M. hit the end button and speed dialed her husband.

A.M.:  Hey hubs, can you pick me up at Starbucks?
A.M.’s Hubs:  Sure...having some car trouble?
A.M.:  Not at all.  I don't have a car to have trouble with because I just quit my job.
A.M.’s Hubs:  WHAT?!
A.M.:  It's time for a new career and I am going to be a very famous novelist.

So began A. M. Hargrove's career as a young adult paranormal romance author of self-published ebooks.  Her series, The Guardians of Vesturon, centers around a family of six siblings and is a mix of humor, mystery, suspense and of course, love.  Survival and Resurrection are her first and second full length novels, and Beginnings is her prequel novella to the series.  Determinant, her third in the series will be released 6/30/12.
(It didn’t really happen like that, but you get the idea!)
