Review: Reflection by Jessica Roberts

 Title:  Reflection
Author:  Jessica Roberts
Rating: 4/5

Summary:   Heather Robbins has finally managed to escape her sleepy  hometown, rise above her rocky childhood, and has come into a place where good things are finally happening.  A private apartment, freshman year in college, classes she actually likes, and then there is the mysterious and rugged Nick Richards.  However, it is all a dream created while Heather lies in a coma, now the questions begin.

Heather must now find the truth, unlock the real past, and find what her mind has kept hidden from her.  Flashbacks, embellished memories and whirlwind romance abound, but in the end, will Heather lose everything that she’s fallen in love with?

Review:  I received a copy of this book free from the author in exchange for an honest review.

This book starts off a touch slow for my liking, but plodding through the slowness, I was quickly pulled into the story, and the mystery that is created, what caused the accident and everything else involved.  Heather’s personality at times did rub me the wrong way, as she is so full of insecurities, but Nick, was like the coolest guy and could handle anything that was thrown at him.

This book had me really emotional as I read it, and for Heather to have lost so much time while being in a coma, and missing everything while others moved on and she woke up living in the past.  I’m not going to offer a spoiler on to exactly just how much time she lost, you’ll have to read yourself and find out.

What I really did like about this book is the realistic tone to it, and how you feel what the character felt and live in that moment.  The evolution of the characters and their relationship is perfect in my opinion and I cannot wait to read more.
