December Has Arrived!!

Holy crap! I am sooo sorry I've been absent for a while!  Things have been crazy hectic for me lately, and I'm just now working on finding time to get things up and running.  I will be having regular blog posts 3 times a week and hopefully weekly vlogs/daily vlogs (if I actually manage to keep up with Vlogmas).  Either way, there might be daily blogs and I will do blogmas instead of Vlogmas LOL (yeah, I'm trying to be funny).

So, couple of big things have happened in the last few months: I have finally managed to get a part timer trained and working well with the flow of things here in the store.  I am thrilled about that, because it means I can actually start having a life again or at least a couple of days off.  Geoff and I celebrated our 1 year anniversary in July, and things have been wonderful, and I'm hoping that I can manage to actually get my shit together and hit my major goals in a few months (provided certain things don't majorly begin to suck and derail my savings goals).  I am currently filming again, and managed to get two videos up today on my channel, which makes me happy.  I need to find my tripod again, and I'm hoping to get this month's TBR post/video up in a day or so because I've literally had to reduce my goodreads goal TWICE in the past 5 months, which does not make me a happy girl.

Other than that, things have just been kinda rocky as far as stretching my energy beyond what I really should, and I'm working on carefully walking that tightrope and finding the proper balance that I need once more.  I am also looking into maybe starting up with BetterHelp or a similar service (especially since I will have my Stylo 4 back and not be using the crappy loaner phone I have right now), in the new year because trying to find a therapist in my local area that is actually accepting new patients is proving to be more of a headache than it really should be.  Beyond that, I have been going to my Dr. regularly, and there may be a tweak of my meds in the coming months after bloodwork in January, so we will see what comes from that when I go back to my Dr in the beginning of February.  I've got my appointments set up already, and I have them added to my future log in my 2019 bullet journal set up.

As I'm writing this I am sitting at work, watching the rain fall and listening to one of my favorite playlists this time of year, and I'll have that right below.

Dominoel Indie Christmas  <--this is my favorite Indie Christmas playlist!

Anyway, I've gotta get some photos edited for my next post that will be going up tomorrow and I am a dummy because I forgot my camera which makes me a derpy mcderp pants.  Which means I'll probably get those photos later today or tomorrow and edit them and get the post up....and probably a late start to Vlogmas...but ya know, I at least got up 2 videos anyway!

Until next time! <3

Done with January

This month.  Seriously, I have no idea what I was thinking attempting to be productive this month.  Between being sick and spending most of it freezing my behind off...I'm just yeah.  No, it just wasn't happening.  I did manage a couple of videos and a couple of blog posts.  So, that's at least a little productive.  However, I'm currently working on my plan for February.  The topics might change for the days of the week, but I've not yet decided yet, and you and I won't know until it happens!

So, for now I will be hopping into my planning cave and fleshing out a few things because I need to, for my own sanity and ultimately your enjoyment.

Reconstruction at the Closet

Hello Lovelies!!!

As you can see, things are changing, gearing up for the new year that will be upon us in less than 2 weeks...HOLY CRAP!

I am just hoping that 2018 is a lot less of a poisonous dumpster fire than this year has been in many ways. I am already working on a lot of things for the new year here, including setting up for my 2018 reading challenges and setting personal and professional goals that will get me to the place that I want to see myself by this time next year.

You'll see the updated posting schedule already up, and I will be updating and modifying the pages and archiving those things that are no longer being featured here, but will ensure that you can still find them if you wish to take a trip down memory lane.  I am growing as an individual and finally I have found peace with myself and now it is a matter of working on those things that make me the happiest.

I hope that you all enjoy the changes that will be coming to the blog throughout 2018, and do not hesitate to add your voice to the conversations that are being had here and over on my youtube channel.
Lots of love,
Caedy

October's Outlook

Hello lovelies! It has been a little while, and I'm back on track with things.  I've been working on vlogs and videos for you, and I'm hoping to get back into getting things moving here as well, because it's been too long and I've missed you all terribly.

There will be a post about some of the things that I've been dealing with, but that won't be today.  I'm considering making it a separate vlog and uploading it to my youtube channel, along with an accompanying blog post because there has been a lot going on and I feel the need to offer you that little glimpse into my personal life - if you wish to know me that well that is.

Anyway! I have been working on my October Plan with me, and the video just went live this morning, you can watch it below, or over on my youtube channel.

There will be a lot of black and orange for this month because well...Halloween.  I even have a few cute little images that I printed out and will be adding to my upcoming weeklies as we get closer and closer to Halloween.  Also, I will be reworking graphics and images here for Halloween and Fall in general, because I like decorating the blog for the seasons!  I am also working on making a new cover image for my youtube channel, as well as my various other social medias.

Right now, I am also snapping pictures to use as thumbnails for various things, and images for blog usage.  There is a lot happening behind the scenes, and I'm so very much looking forward to sharing it with you and showing you what I've done.

As for my reading outlook this month, I'm starting with a re-read of "My Lady Jane" and where I go from there I'm not 100% certain yet.  We will see how things go and you'll find my full October TBR list on the side bar where it usually is!

For now, I've gotta get back to work and actually start today's vlog!

Love you all!

Stay safe

No More Excuses

Good Morning lovelies!!!

It is a glorious Saturday morning, and I am currently sitting outside watching my parents' four beagles run around like crazy things in the front yard.  Beside me is a copy of My Lady Jane, a tall glass of ice water, and a small bowl of strawberries with lime zest and the juice of half a lime.  It is heaven, it truly is - or at least as close to heaven as it can be without it being hideously humid already at 9am.  Yeah, welcome to Florida in July.

Anyway, I know things have been quiet here lately, and that is mainly because I've not really had the motivation to do anything blog related, or reading related really for the last couple of months.  The only thing that had gotten posted was a blog post that was for a book tour of a dear friend of mine.  Beyond that, this trip has helped me recenter, refocus and bring myself back to where I need to be creative wise.  I've hit the reset on myself, and am currently in the process of working on a couple of writing projects that I've neglected and I've also managed to read 3 books in the time that I've been away...which were all super, super good.  I'm in the middle of a 4th book now.  :D

If you've been following me on my youtube channel, I've been doing a few daily/weekly vlogs.  I'm still not 100% certain how I'm going to do the vlogs, I've had a lot more time to vlog here, than I usually do at home because I'm working and working and working mainly.  Othe than that, I'm just really enjoying the creative process that comes with it.  I'm not trying to do anything fancy or whatever, I'm just living my life as naturally as I can.

Things have been super chaotic and I know that when I get home things will be a bit more chaotic as well because I will be calling a recruiter about a new job and dealing with that, plus the chaos of going back to work after 10 days off...and really, really not having the desire to be there.

I do have another blog post scheduled which will deal with current lifestyle changes that I am making, that are pushing me toward a more active, healthier version of myself.  So, there will be lots of things coming.

I think that's about all I have for the moment.

See you soon!

Chaos Thy Name is Renovation

No, seriously, the above gif is literally how I have felt for the past two weeks.  My landlord and the handyman have been here off and on throughout the last two weeks working on a couple of renovation projects in the house.  Yeah, couple.  Simultaneously.  2 bathrooms, both getting new toilets, one getting new flooring, new light fixture, and hopefully that will be the end of it until the landlord decides to come back and finish painting the hallway, change the lightbulb in the hallway, and then later this summer work on the bedrooms one at a time to rip up the carpet, replace the flooring and paint the walls.  Oh yeah, I'm seriously looking forward to all of that in the middle of a Florida summer!  NOT.

Beyond that, that's why I've been quiet for the last few weekends because that's when they've been coming in to do most of the work and I honestly spend most of the time curled up in my room with headphones on and music blaring and my nose in a book.

My current read has been flipping through The Collected Poems of Audre Lorde which I devoured in about one sitting.  I'm attempting to mark some of my favorites before it has to go back to the library, and this is definitely a book that I need to add to my own personal collection because her work is absolutely fantastic.  I've also recently finished Warriors 1 which is an anthology edited by George R.R. Martin as well as The Invasion of the Tearling by Erika Johansen.  I will have reviews of those coming, I've also recently read another collection of poetry that I'm greatly in love with, The Princess Saves Herself in this One, by Amanda Lovelace, which I got through Netgalley.

I also have 2 books from Netgalley that I will be getting to within the next week or so because I want to get the reviews up and ready before their publication dates.  Which reminds me, I need to update my information with Netgalley.  I also have several books out from the library that I need to get to both physical and digital so there will be lots and lots of reading happening!

Here is the current list of books that I will be plowing my way through within the next 3-4 weeks (in no particular order):

1. Blood Vow - J.R. Ward
2. Commonwealth - Anne Patchett
3. The Kept Woman - Karin Slaughter
4. Small Great Things - Jodi Picoult
5. In Other Words - Jhumpa Lahiri
6. A Spy in the House - Y. S. Lee
7. The Declaration - Gemma Malley
8. The Bone Witch - Rin Chupeco
9. The Hundred Lies of Lizzie Lovett - Chelsea Sedoti
10. The Wicked + The Divine: The Faust Act
11. The Wicked + The Divine: Fandemonium
12. Tokyo Ghoul: Vol 1
13. To Kill a Mockingbird - Harper Lee

Only a handful of these are digital books, the rest are physical copies.  I'm looking forward to pretty much all of them (I've read To Kill a Mockingbird before, it's been awhile, though).  I also have a few reviews that I'm in the process of working on, and hopefully, will have lots more posted for you this week.

Time to get busy!

Productivity and I

This has pretty much been the mantra for my week thus far.  It's been hella busy with Christmas coming up this week, my meditation for the Solstice last night, with morning devotions at sunrise, coupled with the fact that my neuropathy has been kicked into high fucking gear for the last two days (go figure my two days off when I have to get just about EVERYTHING done I spend them in and out of my brace).

I have still managed to actually get a few things crossed off my to-do list which makes my bujo happy.  I've even started working on some 2017 spreads.  I still have to refilm my initial youtube video because the quality of the first one was absolute shit because the lighting in my house sucks.

I still have quite a few more things to get done to be completely caught up and ready for the new year - reviews, well those are a laughable thing and I will not be caught up in the 10 days we have left of 2016...so I'll ultimately get to those come January considering I intend on taking this weekend off from the blog and spending time with family - there will probably be a holiday haul video and post here on the blog and my youtube channel sometime on Sunday or Monday...depending on when I manage to get some time off to film it (or don't feel like death warmed over after work).

In the mean time, I am attempting to catch up on my pen pal letters - I have 6 that I'm behind on and I can effectively focus on those despite the pain - because typing actually makes things worse so I'm probably going to end this blog post here.

Have a good evening and I'll see you later this week!

Blessed Solstice,
Caedy

This is My December...December 2016

So.
I am a failure.
Or at least a horrible procrastinator, which is most likely why I end up so behind on EVERYTHING.  I have - no lie - planned out a review schedule for pretty much ALL of the books I've read in 2016 FOUR TIMES so far this year, and have I managed to actually make any headway into my reviews? No..why would I actually stick to the plan? Oh yeah...because depression and anxiety are a pain in my arse and most of my work usually gets caught up on the good days because I'm absolutely 100% useless on the bad days when my attention span is pretty much non-existent.

I know I've said this many, many times in the past, however I am actually going to put so much effort into working on getting things back to where they need to be for this blog.  I may also be changing quite a few things, and as well as the books give you a bit more insight into who I am.  There may be a name change to something other than Confessions of a Bibliophile, but I am not a hundred percent certain on that yet.  However, I am certain that there is a lot more that I want to share with you and to do that, there needs to be some changes.

You may start seeing changes around here as early as Sunday of this week, but we'll see what happens and what manner of curve balls life will be throwing at me - because it has a tendency to kick me when I'm down.

I do however have this coming week's book of the week planned out, I just have to get the post written up.  I have a couple week's worth of Top 10 Tuesday.  I also have some Wish List Wednesdays planned out.  What's on My Kindle? I've 2-3 of those planned out for this month.  I also have a few reviews that I am working on (a couple of them are author requested reviews) and those will hopefully be going up within the next week or so.

I am also in the process of starting to train for my first ever 5k - I usually don't run.  However, I will be starting the Couch to 5k running system, to start getting myself 5k ready before a local 5k in February.  I'm so excited and I'm doing this more for me than anything else, because I know this will help me get in shape, and it gives me another reason to get off my butt and stop sitting all day every day in front of my computer.

I think that's all I have for you right now, so get ready for some awesome changes and loads more info about me coming at you.

I am also considering tossing up some Youtube videos and if that happens trust me, you all will be alerted to this new development!

Lots of love,
Caedy

Sunday Madness!

This weekend has been an absolute abundance of chaos!  Hell, the chaos started on Thursday when I fell and bruise my knee - which lead to a call out from work on Friday.  A miserable shift spent in the kitchen on Saturday.  Then today...which has been well...filled with epic amounts of NOTHING productive!

I currently have 9 people residing in my house.  1 of which will be heading home sometime tomorrow and I will miss her greatly!  Beyond that, 8 people now reside under my roof for the time being.  Including 2 additional children...which makes for a not so quiet environment.  To the point that I've swapped to the good noise cancelling headphones, and volume up louder because needed.

So, I promise, this week's book of the week will be going up tomorrow, because I will after errands are done be cranking up something...probably the Hamilton soundtrack...or something on Spotify and slamming out ALL the things.  Because I need to stop being such a slacker and making the Dr. disappointed in me and the abundance of fuckery that has not been happening on this blog.

So, current reads are:

Week in Review

Hello lovelies!

I do apologize for the lack of content this week.  Between work an apparently a case of acute bronchitis, I pretty much had absolutely ZERO focus to do anything more than read or stare at Netflix for the rest of the evening.  Beyond that, now that there has been a trip to the ER and antibiotics and cough meds obtained, I am feeling a bit better and that is just one day into the medication.  I'm still actually keeping up on my bullet journal, and I'm enjoying the process.  I am still attempting to figure out just what works for me, however, I am really liking things as they are at the moment.

Beyond that, I have finished five books on my July TBR list - this week.  I still have a few on the list to go.  I have three books that are author read and reviews coming up toward the end of the month, and one of those books that I've finished is on that short list.

Books Read July 3-8
1. The Magicians - Lev Grossman
2. The Yellow Brick War - Danielle Paige
3. Frozen - Robin Wasserman
4. The Exiled Queen - Cinda Williams Chima
5. Vincent, Survivor - O.L. Eggert

I've blog posts coming, as well as reviews for the week.  Between today and tomorrow I will be getting things together and will have quite a bit of content for you.  Some What's On My Kindle, Book of the Week, and all sorts of things.

Anyway, that's just a little glimpse into my life and how this week has been going for me.

What Is To Come!

Hello loves!  I have missed you greatly! I have been a horrible, terrible slacker and I will in the coming days, weeks, and well, months remedy that!  I have reviews coming out my ears, considering we are in the sixth month of the year and I've not posted a single review for books that I've read this year.  Last year's well, those will eventually weave their way into the fabric of things, but now is the time to start with the reviews for 2016 (shut up, I know I'm running late on things...nothing new there!) .

Things have been rather busy for me as of late, I think I had enough down time in the month of May to do about ten things for myself.  However, this month is starting off a lot slower than May did, and I am thankful for that.  Just had company for the weekend and that was a blast as always! Now, it is time to get back to business!

I've lots of things coming, and I promise, I'll be good and not flood your inboxes overly much as I get things going and moving and ultimately ensure that things are caught up where they need to be!

Coming Attractions

1. Top Ten Tuesday
2. Wishlist Wednesday
3. What's On My Kindle
4. Reviews in abundance
5. Book of the Week
6. Book of the Month
7. Author of the Month
8. Surprises here and there

That's what I'm looking at currently, and will be spending some time today compiling various blog posts for the week and getting them scheduled.  So, check back often.  Subscribe.  Follow.  All that fun stuff.  <3

April: Return from Radio Silence

Hello Sweeties!

Forgive me for abandoning you for a month and a half.  Things have been rather hectic and not all the best for me the last month and change.  A depression spiral, and my slow, perpetual return to the light has been a struggle.  However, I am back, not fully into the light, but better than I have been the last few weeks.  This month's reading has been slim, but otherwise decent reads.

WHAT I'VE READ:

  1. American Sniper: The Autobiography of the Most Lethal Sniper in U.S. Military History by Chris Kyle
  2. Locked Inside by Annette Mori
  3. Slathbog's Gold (Adventurer's Wanted #1) by M.L. Forman
  4. Just One Day (Just One Day #1) by Gayle Forman
  5. Independent Study (The Testing #2) by Joelle Charbonneau
  6. Ruin and Rising (The Grisha #3) by Leigh Bardugo

Beyond that, the month has been fairly calm aside from various little things that rear their ugly head to simply drive me absolutely crazy.  My hope, my sincere hope, is that with me now bullet journalling, and forcing myself to keep better track of things I will stop allowing the things that I love to be set aside in favor of staring at the screen and doing nothing.

My intent over the coming months is to turn the months that remain in 2016 into something to be positive about.

I don't have much more to include in this update, because life has been just that boring and nothing of importance has happened (aside from my trip to St. Augustine earlier this month....during which I bought 3 books).

APRIL'S BOOK HAUL

Covet by J.R. Ward
Their Eyes were Watching God by Zora Neale Hurston
Rabbit at Rest by John Updike

And, with that I'll leave you for the month of April!

Bring on May!

Hello Sweeties!

Sweet lord.  I never thought the last week was going to end.  I do apologize for going dark for nearly a week and change.  I'd worked an over 40 hr work week last week and my body simply could not even begin to function beyond necessities.  This, coupled with a minor anxiety attack over the fact that my first paycheck from the new owner at work was late...it was just absolute chaos.  I don't even remember if I finished reading anything last week...let alone updated anything.

It's been crazy.  So, I'm spending some time getting up some much needed love.  I'm a little late on some reviews (if anyone is surprised by that you must be new here) and I'll be doing my darnedest to get things caught up.  I am legit almost caught up (if I can get my butt in gear and start working on things properly).

Here are some of the things you can expect for the coming week or two! Yes, I'm going to attempt to get that much done!  Don't die of shock!

Starting with the review of I'll Give You the Sun by Jandy Nelson, that will begin books that I've read in 2016, and have me fully caught up from last years books aside from books that I'd been given for review.  See, I'm getting there!  However, I think I have a few more books to add to the list.  Also, one of these reviews, I think probably one of the ones on Monday or Tuesday will be my 100th review!

So, without further adieu...time for me to get things rolling!

Bibliophile's TBR and More for March

Okay, I know you can already see this list just there...*points to the pretty list off to the side of the blog*  However, I also like to put together a concise post of what I intend on reading each month.  Yes, before you say it, you will see five carry over books that is mainly because I have a slightly addictive relationship with my library card and it is a rarity that I can actually step foot into the library without coming out with a stack of books that usually take precedence over any books that I actually own (mainly because I have to give them back at the end of a twenty-one day period....or forty-two day period if I can actually renew them...though it rarely takes me longer than twenty-one days to read some of the books...).

This Month's TBR is already somewhat daunting for me, as it includes the book that will be the longest book I've read so far this year.  So far, the longest is The Bone Season by Samantha Shanon at a comfortable 480 pages which surprisingly only took me 5-ish days to read.  This year I have been slightly more OCD about tracking my reading, and I have a spreadsheet in Google Docs that I am tracking a variety of things including the amount of page numbers I've read for the year.  At the end of February I have read a massive: 9414 pages worth of books. Once I finish the books I have listed in my spreadsheet (not all of them are on March's TBR list, but will probably be read throughout the month) I will have read 15525 pages worth of words so far in 2016.

Anyway, here are the things I intend on getting read during the month of March 2016....

1. Love Letters to the Dead by Ava Dellaira - Started 2/29/16 - 336 pgs
2. The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins - Started 2/29/16 - 336 pgs
3. Trigger Warnings: Short Fictions and Disturbances by Neil Gaiman - 310 pgs
4. A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms by George R.R. Martin - 355 pgs
5. The Crimson Petal and the White by Michel Faber - 901 pgs
6. Suicide Notes from Beautiful Girls by Lynn Weingarten - 336 pgs
7. Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe by Benjamin Alire Saenz - 359 pgs
8. The Number 7 by Jessica Lidh - 272 pgs
9. Go Set a Watchman by Harper Lee - 278 pgs
10. The Wrath & the Dawn by Renee Ahdleh - 395 pgs

The following books will be supplemented to my TBR and may at times take precedence to those that are either from the library or those that I own, because they were given to me by authors to review:

1. Assassin's Lament by Michael Cairns - 329 pgs
2. Ninja Zombie killers I by Michael Cairns - 242 pgs
3. Locked Inside by Annette Mori - 199 pgs

The following will also be supplemented and find places among this month's TBR because I'd lapsed in getting these read and reviews posted and I do owe it to the authors to finally get these reviews posted (and often it will require re-reading the book)...

1. Banished Love by Ramona Flightner - 289 pgs
.2. Death's Servant by C.J. Ellisson - 119 pgs
3. A Silent Prayer by Samreen Ahsan - 339 pgs
4. Darkness Watching by Emma L. Adams - 207 pgs
5. Just Beneath the Surface I by R.H. Ramsey - 217 pgs
6. Landon's Story by R.H. Ramsey - 292 pgs.

I have been slacking on my reviews, and I do hope to remedy that and ultimately catch up to the place where I have all the books that are listed in my Completed list, but lacking actual links are done.  So to do that, I am hoping to have on top of all the weekly fun posts throughout the month at least two to three reviews posted daily here on the blog.  I don't want to overwhelm, so they will be at staggered times throughout the day if I do more than three per day.  So, check back often for reviews and weekly goodies!

Heads Up!

That gif pretty much sums up how the last 2 weeks or so have been.  A dash of depression tumbled around with a cold, throw in a massive amount of work being a royal pain in the ass, and a few other things that I'd rather not get into and you've got the last few weeks in a nutshell.

My TBR pile has been altered...thanks to trips to the library, because bad things always happen to my library card when I go to the library...Case in point, I stopped in there yesterday, just to go to the bathroom (we were out walking, it was the closest one) and I walk out with a book.  Seriously, I can't even go in there for like 5 minutes without coming without a book.  I have a problem.  Don't get me help...*grins*

I've finished a few, and I will still get to the books that I own that are on this month's TBR...and chances are that won't be until the end of the month, beginning of next month...but eventually, as usual all the books get cleared out of my TBR at some point (even if they get carried over a week or so).  There is one book that I will be super excited to add to my TBR list and share with you, but I can't do that until next month....sorry lovelies!   But, check out the changes...over there on the TBR list for the month. Anything with an L next to it is a library copy and ultimately moves to priority on the reading list due to ya know, the fact that I have to give it back eventually.

My goal today is to attempt to wrap up all the reviews for the month, get them scheduled for the right days so check out through the week.  I might push a few through early, I've not decided yet since I've missed about 3 weeks of reviews on about twenty six books.  Not counting the nine books that I have slated for this week (thank you trusty planner for making me feel like a horrible failure for skipping things).  2016 has started kinda bumpy and I'm hoping to get my shit together and ultimately smooth things out.

So, enough with this rambling and such.  Time to get my butt in gear and slam out some reviews, Top 10 Tuesdays, Wish List Wednesdays, and What's on My Kindle for the week!  I might even throw in some Throwback Thursdays if I'm feeling a bit frisky!  This week will be filled with lots of things for the blog.  First post you should look for is this week's book of the week!

Lots of love!

Radio Silence: November Edition

Right, so I'm guessing you've figured out that I've been somewhat quiet this month.  Well, for me, that's kinda the norm.  Simply because I usually try my hand at National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) and usually end up at least hitting my 50k word count goal.  Is the story complete, usually not, but at least I think it's a decent story.

This year I'm currently re-attempting a story idea from a couple of years ago.  This year, however, I'm actually liking how the story is going, and while I did not get hit with the week two blues, I'm currently fighting them this week, as week 3 rapidly comes to a close and I find myself about 6k shy of where I should be.  How will I be spending this weekend? You guessed it: writing.

As you can also see, by my currently reading list, I have greatly diminished the amount of books I am reading this month.  Simply because my focus is on writing my own story rather than reading the stories of others.  Rest assured, that things will pick up again for Christmas (including new decorations and perhaps a new look for the confessional) and the new year.  I am looking forward to getting back into the swing of things, once November is over.

I love you all and miss you all!

Update: I'm still alive...I swear.

Where the hell have I been for just over a month?

Trapped in my own personal hell.  I've been stressed beyond reason and haven't been able to find relief in pretty much anything.  I've not been able to write. I've not had the inspiration to pick up my camera and take pictures.  I've not had the inspiration to do much of anything...including read.  I think I read a whole two books in the month of August, which is why most of the books carried on into September as the TBR for this month.

Am I fully back into the swing of things?

This is a tricky question, because I want to say yes, but I also know that most of the issues that I have are not yet fully resolved and I do not have a definitive date as to when said issues will be resolved.  However, I do think that I might be able to slam out a couple of good posts and see if I can actually drag myself kicking and screaming out of this nightmarish funk that I seem to be trapped in!

When will the new posts start flowing?

Well, lovelies...what if I told you I'm already gearing up on a few things including some reviews that I need to get done! Shocking I know! These are the things that I am currently getting tossed into the queue to get up in the coming weeks:

  • Book of the Week for 9/20, 9/27, 10/4
  • Book of the Month for September
  • Month in Review for September
  • Top 10 Tuesday for 9/22, 9/29
  • Wishlist Wednesday for 9/23, 9/30
  • Various reviews (won't know which books til I write em)
I might throw a few more things into the mix as well, but that is yet to be seen and completely dependent upon my whims and wants!  However, I know most of these won't take long to get together because I do them so often!  It's the special stuff that will take a bit longer :D

So....while I've been gone...what have my lovelies been reading? Inquiring minds and all that!

Apologies for the quiet week

That gif right there pretty much sums up the last week.  My patience has been thin, despite the fact that I had a FANTASTIC get away with my best friend to St. Augustine for three whole days.  I took TONS of pictures and I might share a few with you later in this blog.  So, that is one of the reasons that there has been absolutely nothing for the last week and change.  It also doesn't help that I work a horrible job, that I am really, really trying to get out of/make the best of while I'm there...and coupled with the hideous, face melting Florida heat I've had the productivity of a snail.  About the only thing I've had the energy to do (up until today) is be horribly lazy, nap, and read with my roommate's daughter.

I do have this month's review coming up for next week, yes, I already have that started.  I'm also working on figuring out this week's book of the month as well as next week's book of the week! I've got a couple other good things in the works and unfortunately it doesn't look like I will be finishing July's Book Photo challenge, but perhaps I will pick one up next month we will see what happens! Either way...I've a few reviews that I'm working on as well as a couple other things as well as those wonderful blog posts you look forward to each week!

Apparently my friends have realized that when they are going through their personal libraries and are considering getting rid of books...I am apparently the best place to relocate those books (now if someone would donate a bookshelf or three....that would be kind a helpful too).  I got a box of books from one of my friends yesterday, and today I'd spent the day being productive.  I cleaned off some modular shelving that another friend of mine had given me, and I've since turned it into a bookcase. I've effectively shelved all of the books my friend gave me yesterday, and some I already owned, as well as reorganized the shelf that is on my desk that is no longer stacked in triplicate.

I only wish that the space between the shelves was about another inch and a half to two inches wider so that I could stand books upright, but either way, it still looks pretty and it fits perfectly where I wanted it.  I have a box of DVDs from the same friend who gave me the box of books resting on the floor between the shelves and my desk.  I also cleaned my desk off, and made my space a bit more calm and relaxed and organized. There are still a few more things I want to do for my desk/organization but that requires a bit of money and right now I am sadly broke.

I think that's about all I have to say for now and I hope that you'll all forgive me for my radio silence last week at least here.  I know I had a bunch of stuff in my tumblr queue and that showed up on the facebook page, so I wasn't entirely silent.

Dear 2014: Year In Review Thus Far

Well, hello there.  I've been a touch quiet as of late, and I apologize. This year has been absolutely nutty for me.  I've not read near amount the books I should have, nor have I managed to get a singular review done.  To me this is absolutely unacceptable, as I still have several reviews to catch up on, as well as new ones I should have had up a couple of weeks ago.

Any posts I do lately will be from the library, due to lack of net at home, and unfortunately some jerk bumped into me yesterday and now the screen on my phone is shattered to hell and gone, not happy about that.

Welcome to 2014!

I know, I'm ten days late, sue me!

I've been a bit busy.  Already I have my first three books of the year read.  Amazing isn't it? I'm almost done with the fourth as well, and things are chugging right along.  I have a bunch of reviews lined up for you (some of which should have already been up *shakes fist at RL*) but things will be chugging along rather smoothly soon enough.

There will be some revamping going on, I will be starting a few new series, retiring others to replace them with the new stuff.  Either way, you will still find loads of information here.

I will be signing up for more blog tour spots, and hopefully there will be one a week here at Confessions starting in Feb.

There will be a full schedule of series and such posted as soon as I get the bugs ironed out and figure out just what I will be showcasing and when.

Until then..
